Re: Kanoute interview
Oh, and what an ability he had with his chest. It was like another foot. I saw him beat people with his ability to control a ball on his chest. That's a pretty unique skill.

That's a good article in The Guardian about why all Muslims shouldn't feel the burden of guilt for evils done by other Muslims. A fair point. Next week in The Guardian there will be a number of articles about why white people should feel ashamed because their great-great-great-great-great grandfathers were serfs to other white people who owned black people.

Re: Kanoute interview
Hang on we didnt win a home game until January or February. That can't possibly be right, not at Upton Park, where the hostile atmosphere had away teams quaking. Where under the lights we won every game 5-0.

Difficult to win a home game at Upton Park no no no no you have got that all wrong. Its the new stadium to blame for the fact that we are shit. Some people's memories are shocking

Re: Kanoute interview
He was on loan with us for a few months before we exercised an option to buy him. Not sure that counts as a trial. From memory Chelsea came sniffing around trying to see if our option to buy was water tight or not.

I always liked him as a player, although his regular injuries were a frustration

**Didn't he have a trial with us first**

Re: Kanoute interview
Yeah was January v B'burn.. me and a MATE were on the piss all day up in the City meeting some MATES... on the way to the ground we decided in our pissed up state to pop in a mosque and pray for a WHU win... nice little fella let us in... but we then spent the next 5 mins having a argument as they wanted us to take our Timberland daisy's off... no chance... anyway you can thank Allah for that win

Re: Kanoute interview
Didn't win a home game until January I think against Blackburn.

All guessing of course but my gut feeling has always been if he scored that pen we wouldn't have gone down.

And of course the Arsenal team wouldn't be known for going all season undefeated

Henry and that other French cunt for them, I think Joe Cole scored one of ours?

Re: Kanoute interview
we were 2-0 up and i think the penalty would have made it 3-1 and game over

Biggie Biggs 3:10 Wed Mar 29
Re: Kanoute interview
I think the point about the penalty miss was that we then didn't win a home game until about February which sent us down, if that penalty had gone in maybe we would have had confidence at home rather then being nervous wrecks

Unfortunately I always lose respect in Players and Managers that left us to join the Cunts

Defoe, Carrick, Parker and Redknapp being the others

2-1 and 3-1 I think

Re: Kanoute interview
I never said we lost, we were 2-0 up and the Kanoute penalty would have made it 3-0, the rest is history

Re: Kanoute interview
Hang on Cough we never lost that game v Goons... wasn't it a Henry wonder volley that got them a 2-2?? Coley was superb that day what I can remember... superb game going toe to toe with a quality Goon outfit...

Re: Kanoute interview
What altruism did Kanoute display then?

The penalty miss that he gifted Arsenal?
